GORD PACE & DIANA MADSEN - Co-Owners

Shortly after moving to Maple Bay, Gord and Diana discovered the Genoa Bay Café and quickly fell in love with the amazing food and playful staff. Over the last 6 years they have become regular customers so they didn't hesitate when the opportunity to become involved with the café presented itself.

Diana moved to Cowichan Valley as a child, she is an avid sailor and has participated in many yacht races including a round trip race to Maui. Diana loves her new role in the café as a manager which has been quite the life style change. After spending 30 years in dentistry we will have to forgive her when she reminds our guests to floss after their meal.

Gord has been living in the Cowichan Valley since 1986 and has owned a number of successful businesses from Sooke to Campbell River. When he is not at work you will find him looking snazzy on one of our many local golf courses or enjoying life out on his boat.

ADAM MORRIS - CHEF

Born and raised in the Cowichan Valley Adam found his way into kitchens after high school. After a few years of working in the Valley he wanted to expand his knowledge and went through the VIU Farm Table Culinary program at Providence Farm, finishing his schooling at the Nanaimo Campus of VIU.

During his studies he did a stint in West Kelowna, working at Mission Hill Winery, as well as in Haida Gwaii, working as Sous-Chef at the Haida House Eco-Tourism Lodge, honing skills in fine dining with chefs from all over the world.

Having spent a couple summers working at Genoa Bay Adam jumped at the opportunity to join the team full time. When the Chef role opened up he was more than happy to fill the position .
