Stacey Johnson, Gord Rumley and Dan Caird are the proud new owners of the Genoa Bay Café, adjacent to the Marina in beautiful Genoa Bay. The Café, which re-opened on February 12, 2010 to a full house and rave reviews, accommodates 40 diners inside, with seating for an additional 30 on the seaside patio.

Stacey brings a wealth of experience in both hospitality and retail industries -- over sixteen years in the restaurant industry, including Milestone's, Romano's Macaroni Grill and Moxie's, in roles ranging from Server to General Manager. Prior to that he was the owner/operator of a successful video rental establishment in Edmonton AB, where he also spent 10 years in the retail sector, with responsibilities ranging from sales associate to Area Manager.

Regular guests of Genoa Bay Café know Gord as the Cafe's front-end Manager for the past 3 years, and are always greeted with a warm and hearty welcome! Gord has an amazing memory for names and special occasions in our guests' lives!

Born and raised in the Cowichan Valley, he has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, notably as Bar Manager at the Galaxy Cabaret and Travelodge Silverbridge Inn.

Gord considers the Genoa Bay Café to be Cowichan's best 'on the water' dining experience!
